Psion

While everyone with psionic talent could be referred to as a ‘psion,’ the term really applies towards those who have put effort into mastering their talent and focusing on it. Psions are more common among innately-psionic species, such as a the Teuthidoids, but they have begone to appear in Human society as well. Thanks to the guidance of the Teuthidoids, more and more Humans are learning to use their psionic abilities in a multitude of ways.

REQUIREMENTS

To qualify to become a psion, a character must fulfill the following criteria.

  • Minimum Level: 7th
  • Trained Skill: Psionics
  • Talents: At least one Psionic talent.
  • Feats: Psionic Training

GAME RULE INFORMATION

Psions have the following game statistics.

HIT POINTS

At each level, psions gain 1d8 hit points + their Constitution modifier.

HERO POINTS

Psions gain a number of Hero Points equal to 6 + one-half their character level, rounded down, every time they gain a new level in this class.

CLASS FEATURES

The following are features of the psion prestige class.

DEFENSE BONUSES

At 1st level, you gain a +3 class bonus to your Reflex and Will defenses.

TALENTS

At every odd-numbered level (1st, 3rd, 5th, and so on), you select a talent. The talent can be selected from any Psionic talents that you have access to.

PSIONIC TECHNIQUE

At every even-numbered level (2nd, 4th, 6th, and so on), you select a Psionic Technique.
